Country Music Star Colt Ford Suffers Heart Attack After Concert
Country music star Colt Ford experienced a medical emergency and suffered a heart attack following his concert in Arizona on Thursday night. The incident took place at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, a popular restaurant and night club in Gilbert, Arizona, where Ford had just completed his performance. According to 12News, Ford was immediately rushed to Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit. While his condition is listed as stable but critical, no further statements have been released by his representatives at this time.
Colt Ford, born Jason Farris Brown, is recognized in the country-rap music scene and has collaborated with prominent artists such as Brantley Gilbert, Jake Owen, and Willie Nelson. One of his notable achievements was co-writing the track “Dirt Road Anthem” with Gilbert, which was later made famous by Jason Aldean. Apart from his musical journey, Ford has faced various health challenges, including his recent diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis, a chronic neuromuscular autoimmune disease.
In interviews, Ford has opened up about the impact of his health conditions, with his eye being significantly affected. However, his determination and love for music have prevailed, and despite facing eye cancer, he managed to recover after undergoing surgery and continue performing.
Prior to pursuing a career in music, Ford was a professional golfer on the Nationwide Tour. His passion for country and hip hop eventually led him to combine the two genres, resulting in the country-rap fusion that he is known for today. In acknowledgment of his talent, Ford was nominated for an ACM award for Vocal Event of the Year in 2011.
