“It is time to be at home, in coexistence aggressions, insults, violence can appear, without realizing it we hurt those who we love, but we can always change history, let’s make peace and protection a reality in our home , let’s take out the white flag of solidarity, ”says one of the government spots.
So far this campaign has generated anger on social networks because in the images promoted by the federal government a woman appears smiling, however, the authorities explained that in the case of the assaults against girls These could also be committed by this sector of the population and they want to make it visible.
“There are some scenes where the protagonist is a woman, but let’s also not forget that there is violence against girls that is carried out by adults, regardless of gender,” said Jesús Ramírez Cuevas.
Also, in a press videoconference, Olga Sánchez Cordero, Secretary of the Interior, indicated that the campaign had a long editing process, since at first raw scenes of violence against women were shown and that was modified.
“The first essays they sent us were a little more violent and we thought that we should better send a message on how to avoid violence, not how to display violence, that was one of the first comments we made in the Ministry of the Interior,” he said. .
According to the authorities, this campaign was designed after having a dialogue between social organizations and different government agencies. In the spots you see not only images of violence against women, but also against older adults, minors and couples.
