Melania was actually scheduled to appear with her husband in Erie, Pennsylvania on Tuesday. It would be her first campaign meeting in over a year. The spokeswoman for the 50-year-old first lady says that because of the cough, it was decided to cancel the trip as a precaution. “Mrs. Trump is feeling better by the day as she has recovered from Covid-19.”

Erie was previously known as a Democratic stronghold, but chose Republican Donald Trump in the previous election. He announced earlier this month that he has the corona virus, but is campaigning again after a short stay in hospital. He is behind in the polls in the important swing state of Pennsylvania.
