As a journalist fromInfos-Dijonthe candidate of RN in the legislative elections on the fourth constituency of the Côte-d’Or seems to have left a trace of his ideological background in his email address.
In a press release published earlier on the same site, we learn that Jean-Marc Ponelle, a lawyer by profession, registered with the Paris Bar, has chosen “ jeanmarcponelle88 as the ID of a campaign email.
Where is the problem ?
If the choice of the number “88” may seem trivial, it is nevertheless loaded with a symbolism which has led Austria and Germany to prohibit its use under certain circumstances. It is because this figure has been a sign of recognition for many years in neo-Nazi circles, where it is used to code the letters “HH“, for “Heil Hitler”, the “h” being the 8e letter of the alphabet.

If the ideology of his party already leaves few doubts about the intentionality of this choice, the author of the article comes to dismiss the hypotheses which would leave a doubt.
