Résumé
Under the direction of the Director, Corporate Communications, the Corporate Communications Specialist participates in the research, design and writing of corporate communications materials for Canada Lands Company. These materials include corporate communications plans and specific projects, various senior executive materials, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, scripts, online content, a wide range of daily correspondence from executives, and annual reports and of corporate social responsibility. The Corporate Communications Specialist leads the implementation, technical administration and maintenance of the Company’s online presence and digital marketing initiatives.

Job Description
CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

  • Assist in the writing, editing and production of corporate communication materials including email newsletters, communication plans, various senior management materials, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, online content, scripts and a wide range of executives’ daily correspondence.
  • Keep abreast of information on real estate projects and tourist attractions, and identify key corporate messages, events and corporate news that can be incorporated into various corporate communication materials.
  • Collaborate, as required, with external vendors and consultants, management and office staff across the country to produce required communication materials.
  • Assist in managing deadlines and the translation and approval processes required for a variety of communications-related projects.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to establish metrics and objectives, as well as to collect data, manage deadlines and produce results required for public presentation.
  • Lead the Community Managers Committee which is responsible for developing and updating intranet content.

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Support the PR and Communications Manager in executing digital and social media strategies, developing and enhancing the Company’s social media presence and brand identity
  • Using appropriate tools, monitor interactions with the public and ensure compliance with the Company’s social media policies and procedures.

SITES WEB

  • Work in collaboration with external agencies, as required, for the design, development and implementation of the Company’s websites.
  • Collaborate in the design, development and launch of project websites and online public consultation platforms.
  • Publish online reports, corporate plan summaries, quarterly financial statements and briefing materials.

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

  • Create graphics and optimize photography for corporate documents, advertisements and online imagery.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Drupal, WordPress, Java Script, CSS and HTML.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a creative, writing-focused discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive experience writing and developing online content.
  • Strong creative and conceptual vision of online marketing and ability to implement high quality communication strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Good command of print and online graphic design, and proficiency in the Adobe CS4 suite.
  • Excellent research skills using a variety of sources.
  • Excellent understanding of public and government relations.
  • Experience using Drupal content management system, Drupal development.
  • Working knowledge of HTML coding desired.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress software an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) mandatory.
