Florence, 12 August 2020 – In Tuscany there are 10,707 cases of positivity at Coronavirus, 33 more than yesterday (5 identified in the course of tracing and 28 from screening activities). New cases are 0.3% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.1% and reach 9,007 (84.1% of total cases). The tests performed reached 457,566, 3,173 more than yesterday. The currently positives are 563 today, + 5.2% compared to yesterday. Today there are no new deaths.

The new cases
The average age of 33 cases today is 34 years approximately and, as regards the clinical states, 52% were asymptomatic, 36% pauci-symptomatic and 12% with mild symptoms. Of the 33 positives today 22 relate to cases of return from abroad, 12 of these for reasons of holiday (plus one contact). The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the change compared to yesterday. There are 3,343 total cases to date a Florence (9 more than yesterday), 572 a Meadow, 762 a Pistoia (1 more), 1,076 a Pulp, 1.423 a Lucca (4 more), 971 a Pisa (1 more), 494 a Livorno, 729 ad Arezzo (13 more), 445 a Siena (4 more), 421 a Grosseto (1 more). There are 471 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions. There are therefore 10 cases found today in the Central ASL, 5 in the North West, 18 in the South East. Tuscany is confirmed in 10th place in Italy in terms of number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with about 287 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average about 416 x100,000, yesterday’s figure). The provinces with the highest rate of notification are Massa Carrara with 552 cases x100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 367, Florence with 331, the lowest Livorno with 148.
People in isolation
Overall, 545 people are in isolation at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care, or are symptom-free (29 more than yesterday, up 5.6%). There are 1,712 (94 more than yesterday, plus 5.8%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people (ASL Centro 1.032, North West 437, South East 243).
Admissions and healed
There are a total of 18 people hospitalized today (1 less than yesterday, minus 5.3%), 3 in intensive care (2 more than yesterday, plus 200%). There are 9,007 people healed overall (5 more than yesterday, plus 0.1%): 120 people clinically healed (2 less than yesterday, minus 1.6%), that is, who became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with infection and 8,887 (7 more than yesterday, plus 0.1%) declared cured in all respects, the so-called viral healings, with double negative swab.
The deaths
Today there are no new deaths. There are therefore 1,137 deceased since the beginning of the epidemic divided as follows: 417 in Florence, 52 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 174 in Massa Carrara, 144 in Lucca, 90 in Pisa, 63 in Livorno, 50 in Arezzo, 33 in Siena , 25 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
