Coronavirus.- Turkey reduces to seven the isolation period for people infected by coronavirus – Society

The Government of Turkey has announced that it is reducing the isolation period for people who test positive for coronavirus to seven days, amid a rebound in infections that has led the country to report all-time highs since the start of the pandemic.

The Turkish Health Minister, Fahrettin Koca, has indicated in a statement posted on his account on the social network Twitter that “the quarantine will end if positive cases are negative (in a test carried out) on the fifth day.”

Likewise, he stressed that those who are in contact with a positive will not have to isolate themselves if they received a dose of the vaccine or were infected during the last three months, while emphasizing the need to take precautionary measures against the pandemic. .

Koca himself has pointed out on his Twitter account that “cases are increasing” and has advocated “avoiding non-essential visits and crowded places.” “Let’s have more calm. When mobility is reduced, the spread of this variant is reduced,” he argued.

The Turkish Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday in its last balance 66,467 infections and 143 deaths from coronavirus, while pointing out that more than 57 million people have received at least one dose of the vaccine, including 51,756,893 who have the pattern complete and 20,348,276 who received a third booster dose.
