Coronavirus: Tunisia reopened its air and sea borders this Saturday

Tunisia reopened on Saturday its air and sea borders, closed since mid-March as part of measures to fight the spread of Covid-19. As for the reopening of land borders, no date has yet been set.

This decision, which had been taken by the Tunisian government as part of the deconfinement measures, is essentially aimed at rescuing the tourist sector severely impacted by the coronavirus crisis. In this sense, Tunisia has implemented an anti-Covid-19 tourism health protocol which includes 250 hygiene instructions.

Developed by the Ministry of Tourism, in accordance with WHO recommendations, this protocol aims to restore the confidence of tourists and travel agencies and is part of efforts to control the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in tourist establishments and ensuring the health security of employees and tourists.

For tourists and expatriates, the Tunisian government has announced new measures for those arriving in Tunisia depending on the epidemiological situation in the countries of residence. These are countries with low epidemic prevalence, countries with medium epidemic spread and countries characterized by high spread of the virus.
