Coronavirus, today’s bulletin July 4th. Contagions are still growing: 235 new cases, 477 recovered and 21 deaths

There are 235 new coronavirus infections today, a slight increase compared to yesterday when they had been 223, an increase therefore. Of these, 95 cases are in Lombardy, 40.4% of the total in Italy. The total number of cases thus rises to 241,419. The victims in the last 24 hours are instead 21, an increase compared to 15 yesterday. Coronavirus deaths thus rise to 34,854, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Lombardy: 95 cases and 16 deaths. In Lombardy 95 cases of coronavirus have been recorded, of which 32 following serological tests and 21 ‘weakly positive’, and 16 deaths. In total, 16,691 people have died since the beginning of the epidemic. The swabs performed were 10,160 (total total 1,074,333), while the healed / discharged are 330 (in total 68,201, with 65,915 healed and 2,286 discharged). “Today’s data report good news regarding the drop in hospitalizations (-10), with a positive ‘- 5’ for intensive care. Good news also for what concerns the healed / discharged voice (+330 in total) confirming how the battle against the virus is producing the desired results “, commented Giulio Gallera, regional councilor for Welfare. Yesterday, compared to 9,758 swabs, there were 115 positive cases and 4 deaths.

Piedmont, 11 new infections. With 77 today, the number of people healed by the Coronavirus in Piedmont has exceeded 25 thousand. These are data from the Region’s Crisis Unit bulletin which today reports two deaths (the total since the start of the pandemic is 4102) and 11 new infections, including 8 in asymptomatic patients. Intensive care patients are 9 (-1 compared to yesterday), 225 in other wards (-10). There are 983 people in home isolation, 427,590 of which have been processed so far, of which 234,833 are negative.
