The following events are affected by the measures in Graubünden and Glarus (as of February 28, 9:15 pm):
Higa 2020
Higa 2020 will not take place in Chur from March 21 to 29 as planned. The city of Chur, in consultation with the cantonal authorities, does not allow the spring fair in Southeast Switzerland to be held. Those responsible regret the city’s decision and accordingly titled “Higa 2020 officially canceled” on their website.
“We will do our utmost to master this difficult situation with all those affected and keep them up to date on further developments,” the exhibition management concludes.
Chur Theater
The Chur Theater is also affected by the measures. Until March 15th all performances will be canceled. “All performances and concerts planned during this period have a national character or international participation,” writes the Theater Chur in a media release. Accordingly, ten performances are affected. For certain events, such as the sold-out performances of “The Visit of the Old Lady”, alternative dates will be arranged between the end of May and the end of June.
Tickets that have already been purchased will be refunded at the advance booking points in the Chur Theater and at Chur Tourism, online tickets only at the Theater Chur box office.
Ghost game for Piranha Chur
The floorball playoff quarterfinal match between Piranha Chur and UHC Laupen can take place on Saturday evening, February 29th. After consultation between the cantonal management staff in Graubünden and the cantonal health department, the game must take place in camera, Piranha Chur writes on the website.
Swiss Cup Klosters canceled
The cross-country competition in Klosters cannot take place as planned according to the order of the cantonal health office. On Saturday, February 29th and Sunday, March 1st, over 120 athletes from home and abroad should have competed. “The OK and the sponsors are affected,” wrote the Swiss Cup OK in a message. Everything would have been arranged for a successful cross-country skiing festival in Klosters.
