Corona viruses are a family of viruses that cause very different diseases in different vertebrates such as mammals, birds and fish.
Sars-Cov-2 is a new corona virus that was identified in the Chinese city of Wuhan in January 2020. At the beginning, it also bore the names 2019-nCoV, novel coronavirus 2019 and Wuhan coronavirus.
Covid-19 is the respiratory disease that can be caused by infection with Sars-Cov-2. The number 19 refers to December 2019, when the disease was first diagnosed.
