Jazz under the apple trees, Normandiebulle and Rush canceled
Several festivals had not waited for the address of the President of the Republic to cancel their events. This is the case of Jazz under the apple trees, which was to take place in Coutances, in the Manche, from May 15. The festival is canceled and the team is throwing away its 39th edition … Tickets will be reimbursed, unless the public wishes to support the meeting and the financial loss.

A Jazz weekend will be scheduled from September 18 to 20 so that the creations are still shared.

Jazz will also not be in the spotlight from June 24 to 27, 2020. After long hesitation to try to save the festival, the volunteers made the decision to cancel the 43rd edition of Archéo Jazz.
“It is no longer possible to continue to postpone the essential preparations for the concerts from June 24 to 27 and the risk has become too great to start spending that may appear unnecessary by the end of June“, announces the team of volunteers on Facebook.
Hard blow for the director of 106, at Rouen, who in addition to managing the cancellations of concerts in his hall, must also cancel his Rush festival, which was to take place the last weekend of May on Presqu’ile Rollet.
“We all hope that by this time our country will have passed the peak of the crisis. But the context will certainly not allow to welcome several thousand people on the Rollet peninsula, nor to travel international artists“, announces the organization on his website. Tickets are refundable at points of sale until June 30.
Near Caen the Tribute Fest will not take place. The festival, from revival rock which brings together tribute groups (tribute), was scheduled for August 29 and 30, 2020 in Luc-sur-Mer.
Music festivals are not the only ones affected. The 25th edition of Normandiebulle comic book festival, scheduled for September 2020 at Darnetal (Seine-Maritime), is also canceled.
