Latam Airlines Peru decided to apply a perfect suspension of work to 129 of its workers, according to what the company reported in a statement. “For the first time we have been forced to resort to the legal measure of perfect suspension, which has included 129 company workers”the company noted.
The Chilean airline explained that it adopted this measure due to the severe blow caused by the coronavirus pandemic for the commercial sector.

A month ago, Latam filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States, with the goal of entering a restructuring process.
The company indicated that it resorted to the perfect suspension after taking various measures to preserve the income of its employees. “This decision was made after proposing various measures, such as voluntary salary reduction agreements, voluntary retirement programs, and leave without benefits, as well as vacation programming”, I note.
