Inter-agency working groups are currently examining when and how normal travel could be resumed. It is understood that all foreign citizens entering the United States must be vaccinated against the coronavirus. There should be only a few exceptions.
Pressure to relax the restrictions
The US government of President Joe Biden has not yet relaxed travel restrictions for foreign visitors, citing the spread of the Delta variant of the virus. According to the regulations, people who are not in the US and have been in China, the European Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa and India in the previous 14 days are not allowed to enter the United States.
All arrivals, regardless of their vaccination status, must present a negative corona test, which was carried out within three days before entering the country by plane. Allied states, the aviation industry and families who are separated from their dependents because of the regulations, however, are pressing for at least some restrictions to be lifted.
