– The number of coronavirus infections is increasing worldwide. In Germany, the state health authorities report over 20,000 cases. Rapid growth can be seen worldwide. The private Johns Hopkins University in Maryland registered for the Federal Republic on Friday evening 19,848 confirmed infections. The number of infected is according to the RKI worldwide meanwhile much larger than in China. For the first time since the outbreak of the novel corona virus in early January China no new local infections reported nationwide on Thursday. Johns Hopkins University was on their list on Saturday morning 275,452 infections worldwide. The actual number is likely to be higher, experts estimate. So far are worldwide 11,402 people died as a result of a coronavirus infection. The World Health Organization (WHO) now classifies the outbreak of the corona pathogen as pandemic – So as a worldwide outbreak of a new disease.
