Coronavirus Outbreak Recorded at Pasta Factory in Washington



Spokane – A pasta maker company announced that an outbreak of coronavirus at its Spokane plant as Washington state prepares to reopen parts of its economy.

According to the online publication The Spokesman-Review, Philadelphia Macaroni Company Inc. said in a statement Friday that of 72 workers who had an exam, 24 tested positive.

Health authorities said infections in Spokane County have increased due to the 31 new cases on Thursday and Friday.

Company officials claim that all employees underwent examinations and the plant was disinfected.

The company collaborates with the Spokane Regional Health District to trace contacts and determine further preventive measures.
