At least three police officers have tested positive for Covid-19 in recent hours at the Lille police station. Immediately, in collaboration with the Samu of Lille and the Regional Health Agency, work to search for contact cases was started. These contact cases were placed in the fortnight.
“A case of Covid-19 was confirmed in a staff of the central police station of Lille, this Sunday, May 17, confirmed the North Prefecture. The contact tracing set up within the framework of the health strategy “test-trace-isolate”, made it possible to identify the same day two additional positive cases within the police station. Isolation measures have been prescribed for these three patients as well as for the identified contact persons. ”
All of the police officers from the Lille police station (around 1,000 people) will be tested in the coming days, in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus as much as possible. This massive test will take place “on the premises of the police station from 20 May and until the end of the week. It will be provided by a team made up of healthcare professionals from the Lille University Hospital and liberal nurses. “
Also in Arras
According to a union source, the same situation was observed in Arras, with three other police officers who were also positive. The tests are already underway.
The ARS should communicate this situation to the regional police in the coming hours.
