Naples brigade commander, department could reopen today

The department of the Municipal Police of Naples San Lorenzo could reopen during the day, closed since last Friday following the cases of positivity among municipal agents (read below, ed). This is what Ciro Esposito, commander of the municipal police said. “We were always operational even during the lockdown – he said – so we followed the prophylaxis and protocol already tested”. The “difference” compared to the previous cases “is that here we had 12 positives”. “Fearing that it could be a cluster – he explained – we proceeded, as a precaution, to close the department, put the agents in trustee isolation at home and started a vast screening campaign, thanks to the ASL Napoli 1”. In total, Esposito said, over 150 swabs were carried out, from which 12 positive cases were found, also reconstructing the network of contacts that the traffic police had. “At the moment, we are examining, together with the ASL Napoli 1, the results of the swabs – he added – to verify who is negative, so that we can reopen, even partially, the department in question which covers a very large area between the Vasto and Porta Nolana ». The others will have to wait for the days of quarantine with home isolation to which they have already been subjected. In the meantime, all the cars and environments have been sanitized.
