Coronavirus in Poland. New cases of infection and death – September 27

The Ministry of Health announced on Sunday about 1,350 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection. This is the third highest daily increase in infected people since the beginning of the epidemic in Poland. The number of occupied respirators and beds is increasing. Fewer people than a day earlier have been in quarantine, but the number of people under epidemiological surveillance has increased. Eight infected patients were also confirmed to die. Over 18.8 thousand tests were performed during the day. In total, in our country, coronavirus infection was confirmed in 87,330,000 people, of whom 2,432 died.

Most of the cases reported on Sunday concern the Mazowieckie voivodship. On the last day, 193 infections were recorded there.

The remaining cases concern the following voivodeships: Pomorskie (191), Małopolskie (152), Wielkopolskie (102), Śląskie (93), Łódzkie (86), Warmińsko-Mazurskie (82), Lubelskie (77), Kujawsko-Pomorskie (72), Podkarpackie (70), Podlasie (65), West Pomeranian (57), Dolnośląskie (49), Świętokrzyskie (39), Opole (16) and Lubuskie (6).

On Saturday it was informed about 1,584 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection, on Friday, Fr. 1,587 confirmed cases and it is so far the highest daily balance of infections, on Thursday – the 1136. The daily number of infections in Poland exceeded one thousand for the first time on September 19. Then it was informed about 1002 infections.

The Ministry also provided information about the deaths of eight infected people. According to the ministry, all people had comorbidities.

Saturday’s death toll was one of the highest since the epidemic began – 32 people died. On April 24, 40 people died due to coronavirus infection, April 28 – 34, and June 18 – 30.

In total, coronavirus infection in Poland has been confirmed so far in 87,330 people, of which 2,432 have died.

Over 18.8 thousand tests were performed during the day.

Over eight thousand cases in a week

Within seven days, from Monday, September 21 to Sunday, September 27, the Ministry of Health informed a total of 8090 cases of infection. They were:

– on Sunday, today – 1350, – on Saturday – 1584, – on Friday – 1587
– Thursday – 1136, – on Wednesday – 974, – on Tuesday – 711, – on Monday – 748.

How many people are in quarantine? How many respirators are seized?

On Sunday, the health ministry also published a daily “coronavirus report”. It shows that:

2 223 “COVID-19 beds” in hospitals are occupied (+89 in relation to the previous day), – 124 respirators are used (+14), – 139 460 people are in quarantine (-3982), – 16 368 persons are under epidemiological surveillance (+2474), – 67 904 people recovered (+578).

On Saturday, for the first time since the beginning of the epidemic, the number of respirators seized exceeded 100.

List of counties with the highest increase in infections

The Ministry of Health announced on Thursday a new list of counties with the highest increase in coronavirus infections that meet the criteria of red and yellow zones, and blue zones, i.e. counties threatened with additional restrictions. In the red zone, the restrictions are more restrictive, in the yellow zone – less.

W red zone there were counties Głubczycki (Opolskie Voivodeship) and cartridges (Pomeranian Voivodeship).

W the yellow zone 19 poviats: – Myślenicki (Lesser Poland), – Gostyński (Greater Poland), – Aleksandrowski (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship), – Brest (Opolskie Voivodeship), – bytowski (Pomeranian Voivodeship), – Milicki (Lower Silesia), – Nowy Targ (Lesser Poland), – suski (Lesser Poland), – Trzebnicki (Lower Silesia), – Otwock (Masovian Voivodeship), – Kłobuck (Silesian), – Sopot (Pomeranian Voivodeship), – Działdowski (Warmia and Mazury), – Nidzicki (Warmia and Mazury), – Piotrkowski (Łódź Province), – Tatra Mountains (Lesser Poland), – limanowski (Lesser Poland), – Międzychodzki (Greater Poland), – Przasnysz (Masovian Voivodeship).
