Months in hospitals
He was hospitalized at the end of March shortly after his father died of COVID-19. The months after he was first diagnosed with the infection, he spent first at the Pope John XXIII hospital in Bergamo, then in another facility, before returning to the first clinic when his health deteriorated.

After he felt better and was discharged, he couldn’t go home because the next tests were still positive. He was also quarantined in his father’s apartment, and he met with the rest of the family going out onto the terrace.
