Coronavirus in Córdoba: 17 new cases, without deaths

The province’s Ministry of Health reported in its official report that on Saturday 17 new cases of coronavirus in Córdoba, all linked to the outbreak of Villa Dolores.

Of the new confirmed, five are from Villa Dolores, ten from Villa Sarmiento and two from San Pedro, in the San Alberto department.

During the day there were no deaths from causes related to Covid-19 in the provincial territory.

Since the start of the pandemic, 633 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Córdoba, of which 137 are in ambulatory treatment with home isolation, 34 are hospitalized, 37 died and 3 are under investigation. The rest of the patients have already been discharged, which constitutes 78% of the total.

In total, 68,415 swabs were performed in the province of Córdoba. This Saturday 1,470 studies were carried out: 668 swabs and 802 rapid tests.

Operational identify

This Saturday, health control strategies were developed in the Parque República, Urquiza and Rivadavia neighborhoods of the city of Córdoba, and in the town of Villa Dolores (San Javier department). In total, 1,041 studies were carried out: 239 swabs (PCR) to those who had close contact with positive cases or had symptoms, and 802 rapid tests by population sampling.

The analyzes are being processed by the Central Laboratory of the Province.

Finally, the province clarified two issues: on the one hand, the Ministry of Health of the Nation published in its daily part that Córdoba registers 15 new cases in the province instead of 17, because yesterday they did not discount the two reclassified cases in the SNVS, and they discount them today. On the other hand, the total number of Covid-19 cases for Córdoba (633) registers a difference with the national part (630) because, for the analysis of the provincial portfolio, three cases of people with domicile in other provinces are considered ( San Luis, Santa Fe and Mendoza), which were diagnosed and assisted in Córdoba until their recovery.
