No new deaths or positive deaths in the last 24 hours in Campania: the Region’s crisis unit on coronavirus reports.
3,151 swabs were performed without finding any positive: the total number of infections remained at 4,665 of 276,025 swabs. There is a new recovery, which brings the total to 4,071, while the victims remain 431.
And the governor Vincenzo De Luca: “As for the Mondragone outbreak, in the five buildings quarantined today there is no longer any positive inhabitant after those already detected have been transferred to health facilities. In the coming days, screening will continue for the inhabitants in the adjacent areas. So far, no positive case out of the 400 swabs processed out of the approximately one thousand that the citizens voluntarily underwent. “
The quarantine for the residents in the five so-called ‘ex Cirio’ buildings where the outbreak occurred “will last until the completion of the 14 days, during which no one will have to enter or leave the buildings in question. At the end of the quarantine the swabs will be repeated on all 750 residents to have and give maximum security guarantees “, underlines the President of the Region. “The conditions for immediately extinguishing the outbreak were created with timely and rigorous measures, also thanks to the massive intervention of the police and the Army that I requested last Monday”, concludes De Luca.
