In Bavaria, the FFP2 mask requirement will apply in local public transport and when shopping next week. The Landtag Greens in Baden-Württemberg see some problems.

Stuttgart – The Green parliamentary group is skeptical about an FFP2 mask requirement. “As of now, I would not provide for any legal obligation,” said parliamentary group leader Andreas Schwarz on Friday in Stuttgart. A mask requirement would mean that compliance would have to be monitored and sanctioned. In addition, one then has to make sure that there are enough masks. A lot of questions arose and further discussions were needed. Until then, however, he would recommend wearing FFP2 masks, for example in local traffic, said Schwarz. As of Monday, the FFP2 mask requirement applies to public transport and when shopping in Bavaria.

The parliamentary group leader also spoke out in favor of more home offices as a means of fighting the pandemic. “If we look into the offices of many larger companies, there is still room for improvement.” With a view to a possible tightening of the lockdown, Schwarz said: “There is not much more tightening, unless it affects the commercial economy.”
