During the morning report, Carla Vizzotti, Secretary of Access to Health of the Nation, said that 20% of the cases reported yesterday occurred outside the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires (AMBA) and that there are already 15 provinces that register community transmission.

The official added that the “slowdown” in the increase in AMBA cases is “good news,” but that does not mean that “the problem is over.” Rather, the distancing measures that must continue to be sustained in order to “visualize” a decrease in the contagion curve are having an “effect”.

For it, stressed the need not to underestimate symptoms, contact the health system and maintain the isolation of suspected and confirmed cases. In addition, he called for “redoubled attention” on protection measures during social gatherings.

Yesterday 21,695 new samples were made and since the beginning of the outbreak, 1,052,687 diagnostic tests for this disease have been carried out, which is equivalent to 23,198.8 samples per million inhabitants. To date, the total number of registrations is 239,806.
