The epidemic is still gaining ground in the Occitania region and particularly in the Lot according to the latest ARS data published this Thursday evening.
The epidemiological situation is accelerating in the Lot department. In its latest information bulletin on the Covid-19 pandemic, the Regional Occitania Health Agency now reports 14 hospitalizations in progress at the departmental level, including six patients with coronavirus and placed in intensive care.
In addition, ARS Occitanie also reports 14 returns to home following hospitalization.
This Thursday evening, among the 14 hospitalizations in the unit dedicated to covid-19 of the Cahors hospital center, we counted the arrival of a patient transferred from Colmar by helicopter during the day, bringing the number of people to 6 resuscitation. Unfortunately, there was also a first cluster on our territory. It is in fact a center of infection with 6 patients, all residents of an Ehpad, accommodation establishment for dependent elderly people, who were cared for at the Saint-Céré hospital center, north of department.
2,844 hospitalizations in Occitania
At the regional level, the ARS counts, this Thursday evening, 2844 confirmed cases of infection with the coronavirus. 983 patients are hospitalized, including 321 in an intensive care unit.
Finally, 120 deaths linked to the coronavirus are to be deplored in Occitania and 613 return home have been noted.
As a reminder, the ARS indicates that the strategy of targeted tests makes the indicator of the number of confirmed cases less relevant.
