When will the distribution take place?
An order that will benefit all 37 municipalities, including Colomiers which announces that it will distribute for free ” two masks for the general public per household ”. This represents the distribution of 40,000 masks.

Subject to the reception of the masks by Toulouse Métropole and their delivery to the town hall of Colomiers during the day of May 8, 2020, the distribution of the masks in Colomiers will be organized between May 9 and 11, 2020 in letter boxes. As a reminder, masks are not recommended for young children. Schoolchildren and high school students will receive masks respectively by the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council and the Occitanie / Pyrénées – Méditerranée Region.
How will this distribution be ensured?
Elected officials and municipal departments will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of masks. They will be helped by the associative fabric. The City of Colomiers specifies:
As such, nearly 300 people among the citizens involved in the “Colomiers solidaires” operation, members of the six neighborhood committees and volunteers from several columerian associations are mobilized. They will themselves be equipped (masks and hydroalcoholic gel) to carry out this mission. Importantly, all distributors will carry a letter of accreditation from the town hall and a badge dated on the day of distribution in letter boxes.
What type of masks are distributed?
The masks distributed by the City of Colomiers will be reusable masks 50 times. The town hall specifies:
They require 30 minutes washing at 60 degrees for an effective duration of 4 hours. This mask is intended for use by healthy people who do not have clinical symptoms of viral infection and who are not in contact with people who have such symptoms. It completes the barrier gestures and the rules of interpersonal distancing. It is also imperative to wash your hands before and after each manipulation of the mask and not to touch it when it is in position on the face.
