British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that “the UK is currently separating it for 3 weeks at most from a situation similar to that which is now being experienced by Italy due to the Corona virus crisis, if we do not stay at home.” The British Telegraph newspaper reported that Johnson said, “If we do not stay at home, then Britain is two or three weeks away from the situation in Italy, the first country in the world in terms of the number of deaths (Corona), where the number of deaths from the virus increased by 793 within 24 hours.” .
Johnson urged the British to “stay home” in order to save “thousands of lives”, saying “Unless we work together, unless we make the heroic and collective national effort to slow the spread, it is very likely that we will become like Italy.”
The British Prime Minister has ordered doctors to prioritize patients who have the best chance of survival, adding that the accelerated pace of injuries and deaths is putting the National Health Authority beyond its capacity.
