CoronaCheck app downloaded more than 8 million times • ‘CBR cannot get rid of corona backlog’

Entrepreneurial organizations VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland are pleased that the cabinet has provided more clarity about phasing out the corona measures. “Many entrepreneurs have been in uncertainty over the past period. With the announced relaxation, they at least know where they stand,” the organizations write.

They are, however, concerned that the caretaker cabinet wants to postpone the release of the 1.5-meter rule, now planned for September 20, in the event of increasing infections. “That shouldn’t happen. Entrepreneurs benefit from certainty. They need time to plan ahead, stock up, and that simply won’t work if the policy changes every two or three weeks,” the business organizations say.

VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland also support the government’s intention to extend the support measures for entrepreneurs in the night catering industry. They must remain closed until at least November 1. “It is important for them and other closed sectors, such as business events, that the support measures remain in force for the time being.”
