Then the real reason came to light: suspected coronavirus. A few passengers apparently complained of coronavirus symptoms.

The police, fire brigade, emergency services, a doctor and the authorities were immediately on site to check everyone through. While the doctor was checking the health of the passengers, the police officers checked the travelers’ documents.

Seven dead in Italy
The number of coronavirus deaths in Italy rose to seven on Monday. A 62-year-old died in the Lombardy town of Castiglione d ́Adda on Monday evening. He died in the Como city hospital, Italian media reported.
The other three fatalities reported on Monday were three men over the age of 80, the Lombard health authorities reported. Italy has risen to third place in the list of countries with the most coronavirus infections worldwide.
First Corona case in South Tyrol
The state of South Tyrol spoke of a “first, probable case” in the autonomous province on Monday evening regarding Coronavirus. It is a young, South Tyrolean man who “currently has no symptoms”, as the managing Primaria of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the State Hospital, Greta Spoladore, explained. He is currently being treated in hospital.
The lack of symptoms shows that “the viral load is low. This is also a good omen, even if the next few days and hours will be decisive,” added Elisabetta Pagani from the Laboratory for Microbiology and Virology. The man had called the 112 emergency number in the past few days after being contacted by the hygiene services in the area where he was staying (Castiglione d’Adda). The first test was negative, the second, however, was positive, it said in a broadcast from the country Monday evening.
The police then transported the sample to Rome. A third check is to be carried out there within the next 48 hours. “After the positive result of the second test, the epidemiological investigations have already started. The people who have been in contact with him will be contacted and examined. Those who are classified as close contacts will be isolated and – if a positive result is confirmed – and monitored epidemiologically, “said Medical Director Pierpaolo Bertoli.
The man is probably the ninth person controlled in South Tyrol, and like the others, the suspicion was initially not confirmed. So far, seven deaths and 229 people have been registered across Italy, according to Italian civil protection, in connection with the coronavirus epidemic that has broken out in northern Italy. One person had recovered from the corona virus, Italy’s chief of civil protection Angelo Borrelli said.
