Corona virus: New screening station in Breitenwang

BEZRIK REUTTE (eha). From Saturday, August 22, 2020, a stationary screening center will also be open again in the Reutte district. Suspected cases are to be tested daily from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the fire station in Breitenwang.

The combination of mobile screening teams and stationary screening streets has proven itself in Tyrol and ensures that coronavirus tests are carried out as quickly and easily as possible. Medical specialists will be available from tomorrow, seven days a week, daily from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the fire station in Breitenwang to carry out the tests. For tests in the afternoon, the mobile screening team is on the road in Ausserfern to test people at home.

8,000 tests in the district

“The mobile screening teams have been doing a great job for months and have already carried out around 8,000 tests in the district – with the newly installed screening station we relieve these teams and continue to guarantee the best possible test processing. In addition, we are creating a weatherproof center as a precautionary measure for autumn and winter so that we can organize a higher number of tests in a timely manner if necessary, ”says District Manager Katharina Rumpf with conviction.

SMS transfer by the control center in Tyrol

A test by private individuals on the Screeningstrasse can only be used with SMS transfer through the previously contacted health hotline 1450, which is looked after by the Tyrol control center. If such a transfer is available, the vehicles drive into the screening street in Breitenwang, where the people are questioned and tested by the specialist staff. The person to be tested must feel healthy enough to drive their own car. If the driver is not fit to drive, the mobile screening team will be deployed.
