Corona Vaccination for Residents in Healthcare Institutions: Selection and Guidelines

Residents of a healthcare institution, who are more likely to become seriously ill due to corona, can receive a corona shot. The (care) institutions are, as in previous campaigns, responsible for selecting and inviting their residents. As also described in chapter 2.1 of the Covid-19 vaccination implementation guideline the target group description for healthcare institutions looks as follows:

All residents of nursing homes from the age of 18; All residents of long-term care institutions from the age of 18 (This concerns institutions where the elderly, mentally disabled and mental health care clients live with care or guidance); High risk group children from 6 months to 17 years old ( indication criteria are also included in the implementation guideline); For the Judicial Institution Service (DJI), only the target group as defined for this campaign applies.

The approach differs between healthcare institutions with and without a medical service. General practitioners also no longer vaccinate their own patients in institutions.

Healthcare institutions without medical service, or GGZ with medical service can request a vaccination from us by our mobile teams. For this you can email: [email protected]. We will then contact you as soon as possible. You can view the work instructions here find.

Healthcare institutions with medical service can select, invite and vaccinate residents themselves. The healthcare institution also registers the vaccination. Here you will find the work instructions.
