Michigan (USA) – Cassandra “Sandy” Brown shared everyone on Facebook when they got theirs in late March Husband Freddie lost. The 59-year-old had died in a hospital as a result of Covid 19 disease. She wrote, “My sweetheart has gone home to God.” Cassandra Brown, like her husband, was a member of a Pentecostal church in Michigan.
Her next post follows just two days later: “Pray for my son Freddie Jr., I had to take him to the hospital.”
Coronavirus: Woman prays Facebook for her son all night
As Brown later told the Detroit News, the phone rang again the next night: “How fast can you be in the hospital?” Was the question at the other end – the same question that was asked a few days earlier, when her husband was dying.
Her husband had passed away when Brown reached the hospital – her son was alive. All night she sang and prayed for him over face time. But her son died a day later.
Corona virus: grief in times of crisis
“Honey gone, now Sonny” – Brown says she finds no words for her loss to the Detroit Times. Both her husband and son were sure to recover soon – and died within a few days. Because of the high Contagion risk Brown had to attend the funeral alone, far from the coffin bearers. In a Facebook video, she shows how friends and relatives sit in cars to attend the funeral.

In the US, experts suspect that the number of unreported cases at Deceased is much higher – because many do not know anything about previous illnesses and did not dare to go to a hospital and then die alone at home. The number of official deaths had recently dropped slightly.
