“Lockdown light” in Germany: These drastic corona rules apply from Monday
Contact restrictions and celebrations: Only Members of your own household and of another household a maximum of ten people are allowed to be in public together. Violations of these contact restrictions should be sanctioned by the regulatory authorities. Groups of people celebrating in public places, in apartments and private facilities are unacceptable in view of the serious situation.
Schools and kindergartens: Schools and kindergartens remain reliably open in November despite the sharp rise in the corona numbers. The federal states decide on the necessary protective measures.
Retail and Wholesale: Retail stores remain open subject to hygiene, access control and avoidance of queues. However, it must be ensured that there is no more than one customer per ten square meters in the shops. These regulations also apply to wholesalers.
Entertainment events: theaters, operas or concert halls must remain closed. This also applies to trade fairs, cinemas, amusement parks, amusement arcades, casinos and betting shops. Brothels and other prostitution sites must also remain closed.
Sport: Leisure and amateur sports businesses should be on and closed in all public and private sports facilities be, as well Swimming pools and fun pools as well as fitness studios. Personal hygiene: Cosmetic studios, massage practices or tattoo studios will be closed, medically necessary treatments such as physiotherapy, ergo and logotherapy as well as podiatry and foot care will continue to be possible. Hairdressing salons remain – unlike in spring – but under the existing hygiene requirements open.
Economy: Industry, trade and medium-sized businesses should be able to work safely and comprehensively. Employers have to protect their employees from infections, so every company has to implement a hygiene concept and adapt it if necessary. Home work should be made possible wherever possible.
Help for companies: The federal and state governments have decided on an aid package worth billions. Companies with up to 50 employees can have up to 75 percent of the sales of the corresponding month of the previous year (i.e. November 2019) reimbursed. The aid package will have a financial volume of 10 billion euros.
Risk groups: It is intended for the sick, those in need of care, the elderly and the disabled quick and priority Corona speed tests give. The special protection in this area should not lead to complete social isolation.

In the run-up to the federal-state meeting, some prime ministers were critical of the planned Corona measures including lockdown voiced. Thuringia’s Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (Left) for example announced that it would not support a lockdown and such a decision declined.

FDP party and parliamentary group leader Christian Lindner also expressed disapproval of one via Twitter Lockdowns. “According to media reports, Ms. Merkel wants to shut down the catering industry completely.
