Telephone counseling: Good experiences with online counseling
In view of the experiences during the corona pandemic, the telephone counseling service has expanded its range of services. If the longer-term consultations had taken place on site before the pandemic, the advice centers now also used video accompaniment and other formats, as the telephone counseling service Germany announced. Two-thirds of the clients still wanted online or telephone advice. Accordingly, long-term counseling offers supplement the all-day telephone offer for crisis intervention. According to their own statements, around 7,700 trained volunteers are currently working in telephone counseling. All counseling offers are anonymous and free of charge.

Amnesty International accuses industrialized countries of hypocrisy
In the corona pandemic, the human rights organization Amnesty International accuses politicians from industrialized countries of hypocrisy. Western countries have colluded with big business in the vaccine race, exacerbating inequality between rich and poor countries. While pharmaceutical companies would have made very large profits, the USA or European industrialized countries would have hoarded vaccines. Although there was enough vaccine for the entire world population, only four percent of the population in poor countries had been vaccinated by the end of 2021. Health systems in Africa often reached their limits.
