In the first step, for example, the 10-person rule for private meetings should be removed, but initially only for vaccinated people. It is said that this should be done as soon as possible. For the time being, the contact restrictions would continue to apply to the unvaccinated.

In addition, access controls in retail could be eliminated in the course of this. It is said that masks should continue to be worn. In a further step at the beginning of March, gastronomy and accommodation establishments are to be converted to the 3G rule. That means: From then on, unvaccinated people could go back to restaurants and hotels if they can show a current test.

The Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate, Malu Dreyer (SPD), is campaigning for less strict corona protection measures. “I think simple gradual easing is right,” she told the Funke media group on Tuesday. From their point of view, it is very important to agree on nationwide uniform regulations.

Dreyer had already promised easing last week. The situation in the hospitals is still tense and Corona has not ended, according to Dreyer. “But people rightly expect us to relax.”

2G Plus for clubs and major events

The 2G Plus rule would then apply to clubs and discotheques. That means: Access for vaccinated and recovered plus current test. This would be omitted for boosted users. Something similar could also be decided for major events. It is still unclear what maximum limits should apply to this.

Obligation to work from home should also fall
