Corona incidence increases to 735.1 in Schleswig-Holstein

Kiel (dpa/lno) – The seven-day incidence of new corona infections in Schleswig-Holstein rose to 735.1 on Friday. This emerges from the information from the state registration office and the University of Kiel in the evening. On Thursday, the number of new infections registered per 100,000 inhabitants was 713.8 within seven days.

However, the incidence does not provide a complete picture of the infection situation. Experts have been assuming for some time that there will be a large number of cases not recorded by the RKI – mainly because not all infected people have a PCR test done. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics. In addition, late registrations or transmission problems can lead to a distortion of individual daily values.

3824 new corona cases were reported for Schleswig-Holstein on Friday. According to the information, 252 people were treated in connection with the corona virus in the hospitals. There were twelve corona patients in the intensive care unit – five of them were ventilated.

The districts of Dithmarschen (953.8) and Rendsburg-Eckernförde (899.0) and the city of Flensburg (881.8) reported the highest seven-day incidences. The district of Duchy of Lauenburg recorded the lowest incidence with a value of 565.4.
