The nationwide emergency brake takes effect in districts and urban districts with an incidence of 100 or more. In Hesse, almost everyone is affected by the curfew.
Wiesbaden – The changed rules of the Federal Infection Protection Act come into force on Saturday (April 24th, 2021) in Hesse. Only schools and day-care centers have a grace period of one week in which they can organize the innovations. The restrictions are severe. They affect almost everyone in Hessen. Because in the Corona crisis they automatically apply to a seven-day incidence of 100 in the respective district or urban district.

Lessons in Hesse are discontinued from an incidence of 165
Hesse wants to use the little leeway that the law gives the federal states. The following applies to schools: If the incidence is below 165, the pupils in grades 7 to 11 after months of homeschooling will receive alternating lessons from May 6th. Corona vaccination in Hessen: People over 60 can register

Emergency brake in Hessen: Offenbach with stricter curfew
Since April 19, curfews have been possible in Hesse with an incidence of 100 instead of the previous 200 as an “ultima ratio”. The regulation at schools was previously: Grades 1 to 6 are taught alternately, grades from grade 7 onwards in distance learning and the final classes in face-to-face lessons. From an incidence of 200, only the graduating classes are allowed to attend school.
The city of Offenbach will meanwhile adjust its curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., as Lord Mayor Felix Schwenke (SPD) told the FR. “We want there to be nationwide uniform rules,” said. Even if they as a municipality could tighten the curfew, the curfew also applies in Offenbach from 10 p.m., but with an incidence of over 100. Walks and jogging should even be allowed until midnight.
