Prime Minister Boris Johnson (55) spoke about plans for a possible death after his hospital stay due to Covid 19 disease. «It was a difficult moment, I don’t dispute that. They had a strategy to deal with a scenario like “Death of Stalin”, Johnson said in an interview in the Sunday edition of “The Sun”.

The premier probably alluded to the film “The Death of Stalin” (2017), which deals with the events surrounding the death of the Soviet dictator Josef Stalin in 1953.

«Never so serious»
“I wasn’t in a particularly good shape and I knew there were contingency plans,” he said. “The doctors had made all sorts of arrangements in the event that something went very wrong,” said Johnson. You would have given him “liter by liter” of oxygen, the Prime Minister said.
–
During the difficult time in the intensive care unit, he kept asking himself how he would get out of this situation. He has had many injuries and broken many bones. “But I’ve never had anything as serious as this,” said Johnson, referring to his recent lung disease.
–
“The bad moment came when it was 50:50 to put a tube in my windpipe.” Johnson was reportedly not intubated in the hospital.

Son named after doctor
Johnson has since recovered and on Wednesday he and his fiancee Carrie Symonds (32) greeted a young son, Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson. The name “Nicholas,” says Symonds, is an allusion to the two doctors named Nick who saved Johnson’s life. (gf / kes / sda)
