Much has become better in control at Gardermoen than Olsen, Trøan and several hundred Norwegian overwinterers on the holiday island have received descriptions of in the last couple of weeks.
– It only took 20 minutes from we were tested until the result came. And then it was important that we had all health papers with us and that we could answer questions about medical records in helsenorge.no and so on, they say.
That is the key to whether it was considered a “necessary” or “unnecessary” trip when they went south just over the New Year.
– And that again has a bearing on whether we had to be in quarantine hotels or be able to go straight home. This is an important tip for everyone who is going to travel now with corona and quarantine – have health information and papers ready, is the advice after the surprisingly positive experience they had at Gardermoen.

If the police find that your trip has been necessary, you can move freely down to the luggage hall where you must be tested before you can leave the airport.
If the police find that your trip has been unnecessary, you have now become Ullensaker municipality’s responsibility.
– Assessing whether a trip is unnecessary or necessary can be demanding, says police inspector Ragnhild Aass in the Eastern police district.
