Corona and digital life in Großenkneten

Großenkneten

Contact restrictions, virtual meetings, homeschooling, video conferences – the world of children and adolescents has been completely turned upside down by the corona pandemic. One consequence: You spent even more time in front of smartphones, tablets, PCs and the like. This is the subject of an online seminar (webinar) that the prevention council of the Großenkneten community is offering on Thursday, June 24th, 6 pm, under the title “Whatsapp, Instagram and Snapchat: What is it to us parents?” All interested parties are invited, participation is free.

Experienced speaker

The speaker is Moritz Becker. He is a social worker, parent media trainer and a father himself. He works for the association smiley eV from Hanover. He is also a lecturer at the University of Hanover and freelance for the Lower Saxony State Media Authority, among others.

On the subject: What often caused conflicts before the pandemic was now required: the comprehensive digitization of everyday life. What does that mean for the children? Where do parents have to intervene? “In order to better understand the digital world of your children, it makes sense to take a closer look at the apps that the children and adolescents use in their free time,” says the Prevention Council.
