Córdoba’s new taxi rates remain stagnant
Taxi drivers still cannot apply the new rates, despite the fact that the Plenary of the Córdoba City Council has already approved them.
The reason is a file that is incomplete, since the allegations raised by the Federation of Consumers of Andalusia (Facua-Córdoba) were not answered and an economic report was not delivered of the impact that the rise in rates will entail.
The rates had to be in effect from January 1.
The General Directorate of Taxes of the Junta de Andalucía has ordered the suspension of its application until these problems are corrected and the file is completed.
One of the points in which Facua showed his rejection was the reduction of the taxi fleet by 33 percent on working days. He also criticized the retention of the 18 hours previously proposed.
