Coordinating Controls to Regulate Drivers and Vehicles: Recent Cases of Insufficient Documentation and Dangerous Driving

Although public administrations do not cease in their efforts to curb irresponsible attitudes when we get into a car or motorcycle, cases of dangerous driving continue to occur. Hence the need to coordinate controls to regulate the state of drivers and vehicles. During this week, a car and a moped have been immobilized for lacking the mandatory insurance and the papers of the Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV) in order while they were circulating through the streets of Ontinyent.

Thus, last Thursday around one in the morning, the Local Police received a notice from the National Police Corps (CNP) confirming that a patrol had arrested a driver under the influence of alcohol. A patrol moved to the intersection between the streets Two de Maig and Martínez Valls to carry out the breathalyzer test. Upon testing positive, the driver was reported. However, the owner of another car was also stopped at the same control. The agents examined the administrative situation and confirmed that he lacked the identification papers the ITV in order and compulsory insurance. The car was immobilized and removed to the deposit.

Something similar happened last Wednesday, after a quarter to nine at night. CNP agents stopped the driver of a moped and certified that he was traveling without insurance. A Local Police patrol also went to the place and later it was verified that he did not have the ITV papers in order either. In the end, the vehicle was towed away and taken to the cemetery depot.
