Converting 1 Million LPG Stoves Into Induction, PLN Collaborates with BTN

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT PLN (Persero) cooperates with the State Savings Bank (Persero) or BTN in order to push the program conversion 1 million stove LPG be the stove induction.

President Director of PLN, Zulkifli Zaini, said that through this cooperation, his party will provide facilities for BTN partners, especially housing developers who want to implement the conversion of LPG stoves to induction stoves.

“This cooperation is an initial step of innovation that can be expanded by utilizing the business potential of the two BUMNs,” he said in a written statement, Wednesday (11/11/2020).

In addition, this cooperation is said to be able to encourage BTN’s partner network, namely developers to use induction stoves in their housing projects. PLN will make it easy for BTN partners who implement the LPG stove conversion program to the induction stove.

BTN President Director Pahala N Mansury confirmed that his party is ready to support the movement of one million induction stoves initiated by PLN.

“Bank BTN also supports induction stove ownership, by offering a credit program for active KPR customers and encouraging developers to provide induction stoves for houses to be built,” he said.

According to him, this program is also in line with the government’s efforts to suppress imports and subsidize LPG.

Reporting from the official website of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the conversion of 1 million LPG stoves to induction stoves has the potential to reduce gas subsidies by IDR 4.8 trillion within 5 years.

“This is a form of our support for the use of environmentally friendly energy,” said Pahala.
