Slovak hockey goalkeeper Július Hudáček ended up in the Czech club Rytíři Kladno, to which he joined only two days ago.
After Hudáček’s arrival at the club, a wave of resentment was triggered by the fans, the team’s fan club even announced a boycott. They were hindered by Hudáček’s past.
In the 2022/23 season, he played in the Russian KHL, where he left after the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. Hudáček did not have a club this season. He arrived in Kladno on January 3, but did not have time to play a single duel.
Official statement of the club:
“Dear fans and partners of the club, Rytíř Kladno announce that the cooperation with goalkeeper Július Hudáček has come to an end. We made this decision after evaluating all aspects related to his engagement. We came to the conclusion that the continuation of cooperation is not in the interest of the club, nor in the interest of the player.
The most important part of the season awaits us and we believe that we will go into it with the fans, partners and all the supporters of our club as one team.” is the official opinion of hockey club Kladno.
