Controversy Surrounding Starfield Promotional Poster Ratings: Gamers Accuse Bethesda of Faking, But Were They Wrong?

Netizens began to criticize Bethesda Softworks for faking ratings in a Starfield promotional poster published on Twitter. However, it turned out that the gamers were actually wrong – the studio did not lie to anyone.

Many fans were confused by the 5/5 rating from Metro. Gamers noticed that the British publication actually released a review of Starfield, but criticized the game and did not give a final rating. However, they did not take into account another publication with a similar name – the Belgian Metro, whose website differs from its British colleagues. Journalists from Belgium were pleased with Starfield and actually gave the game 5/5. The rest of the ratings and quotes depicted on the advertising poster correspond to the results from reviews of various media.

Access for buyers of the expanded edition of Starfield started on September 1, and on the morning of September 6 there was a full release for all players. On the review aggregator Metacritic, the average rating for Starfield from critics was 86 points out of 100. Players criticized the title and gave it 5.6 points out of 10.
