Controversy Surrounding Nike’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games Uniforms: Are They Disrespectful?

The American brand Nike is once again in the eye of the hurricane after presenting the new uniforms for the athletics events of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

According to Marcathe uniforms have been called “disrespectful” by Lauren Fleshman, former United States 5,000-meter champion, mainly because the women’s uniform resembles a swimsuit, sleeveless and with a high cut in the crotch. However, the brand revealed the uniforms that the teams of several countries will wear, as well as the basketball teams of teams such as Korea, Japan or Spain.
