VALENCIA – Real Madrid players only drew 2:2 in Saturday’s match of the 27th round of the Spanish La Liga at Valencia.

The interim table leaders overturned a two-goal deficit at the Estadio Mestalla to extend their unbeaten league run to 21 games and hold a seven-point lead over second-placed Girona, who have a game in hand. The ninth place belongs to Valencia.

After half an hour of play, Real was losing 0:2 after accurate strikes by Hugo Duro and Roman Jaremčuk. Vinicius Junior was able to reduce before the break in stoppage time of the first half, and the Brazilian forward also scored the equalizing goal in the 76th minute.

The end of the match brought several moments, first in the 87th minute, extremely unpleasant, when home defender Mouctar Diakhaby suffered a serious injury and was carried off the field on a stretcher by paramedics.

The central figure of the final minutes was the main referee Jesus Gil Manzano. He first whistled a penalty for Valencia at the beginning of added time, but after consulting the VAR system, he called it off correctly.

Surprisingly, the home team did not send anyone into the game instead of the injured Diakhaby for several minutes, despite the fact that they still had one substitution available.

Real managed to strike from the last action, when he was able to send the ball into Jude Bellingham’s net with a header, but just before the center, the final whistle sounded from Manzana’s whistle and the goal was disallowed. A mela broke out on the pitch and the referee showed Bellingham a red card for protesting.

Seville for Real Sociedad

FC Sevilla players won over Real Sociedad San Sebastián 3:2. Youssef En Nesyri, the author of two goals, played the most significant role in the victory of the Andalusians, defender Sergio Ramos scored the decisive accurate shot. Sevilla moved to 14th place in the table, the Basque team is seventh.

Spectators saw as many as six goals in the match between Getafe and Las Palmas. The Madrid club led 3-1 after the first half after accurate strikes by Jaime Mata, Mason Greenwood and Nemanja Maksimovic. However, after the change of sides, Sergi Cardona and Munir El Haddadi scored and secured a point for the team from the Canary Islands.
