WASHINGTON – Often controversial Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was criticized by her Democratic rivals after she showed a nude picture of Hunter Biden during a House Oversight Committee hearing Wednesday (19/7/2023) about her alleged tax errors.
“I want to tell the organizers and everyone watching at home that parental discretion is advised,” Greene said, before displaying a placard showing Hunter Biden naked and engaging in a sexual act.
He added that the pictures showed Hunter Biden “making pornography”.
Greene accused Hunter Biden of illegally using funds from his company to pay for prostitutes, a claim Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reporter Joseph Ziegler disproved on Wednesday.
The Republican-led committee received testimony Wednesday from two IRS officials following the recent conclusion of an extended investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax dealings.
Fellow IRS staff member Gary Shapley accused the Justice Department of obstructing the investigation into Hunter Biden.
US President Joe Biden’s son reached a deal with federal prosecutors last month to plead guilty to two minor tax crimes, which is likely to avoid jail time.
Following the trial’s conclusion, Democrat Jamie Raskin said, “Greene’s presentations were completely irrelevant to the committee’s objectives and they did not advance the trial’s stated objectives in any way.”
