No sooner said than done. As announced in the course of the interview given to La Verità, Maurizio Petrauncle of the former Inter player Antonio Esposito and source of Fabrizio Corona, would have given the police an audio file which would contain other names of footballers involved in the betting case. This was learned from sources close to the investigation, according to which the acquisition was carried out in La Spezia. Until a few days ago the material had been kept by Petra’s lawyer, Matteo Basso. However, the lawyer never examined its contents.

Nicolò Barella only to promptly backtrack once he became aware of the Inter player’s intention to take legal action. Antonio Esposito’s uncle had spoken of the close friendship between his nephew and
Zaniolo, but in fact he had no longer provided verifiable information on irregularities committed by other players. In short, the list of around fifty bettors, announced by Corona, has so far been reduced to two. Now this last step, from which new developments are obviously expected, with the voluntary or non-voluntary delivery – it is not known – of the audio file to the police.
