Ansan Greeners called want Asnawi Mangkualam stay in the club Korean League 2 That’s after his contract expires this month.
Asnawi got the contract from Ansan on January 19, 2021. Referring to one calendar year, Asnawi’s collaboration with Ansan ended in the middle of this month.
The former PSM Makassar player has the option of a year extension in his contract with the club nicknamed The Green Wolves.
This is the option that Ansan seems to want to use for Asnawi. Quoted from Footballist.co.kr, Ansan’s new coach Jo Min Guk really wants the 22-year-old defender to stay at Ansan Stadium.
“Ansan’s coach Jo Min Guk, who took over in November last year, said he greatly values Asnawi and suggested that he also stay in Ansan this year,” the report said.

Asnawi was the first Southeast Asian player to be recruited by Ansan because of the rules for having players from ASEAN countries.
The Makassar-born player did not play much with Ansan due to injury and the call for the Indonesian national team.
During the 2021 season, Asnawi appeared in 14 matches with Ansan Greeners by contributing one assist. However, that appearance put Asanwi’s name into the 11 best players in April.
Asnawi is also said to have the potential to grow even better in K-League 2 with Ansan Greeners.
Previously, it was reported that Jo Min Guk wanted to push Asnawi’s playing position further to build Ansan’s attack. This was done by Jo Min Guk after seeing Asnawi’s attacking qualities during the 2021 (2020) AFF Cup in Singapore.
In the biennial tournament, Shin Tae Yong’s tactics asked Asnawi Mangkualam, who played as a right-back, to defend and attack equally well.
